“Everything that has to do with water, gas or drainage we repair,” says the affable Doug Boland, owner of Boland Mechanical Contractors. The certified master plumber and gasfitter started his apprenticeship in 1980, and his decades of experience make him a trusted expert at residential and commercial plumbing repairs and installations.

From basic repairs like unclogging drains and fixing faulty taps to installing hot water heaters, steam and hot water heating systems and dishwashers as well as hooking up gas ranges and barbecues, Doug and his lead journeyman Rob Finlay will do it. “Anything you can think of in a building, we can repair it or install it,” says Doug with the calm confidence of a plumber and gasfitter who has been in business for himself for three decades.

Operating between 8 am and 6 pm on weekdays, Boland Mechanical promises to make it to plumbing house calls within 24 hours. If it's a critical emergency, Doug and Rob will do their best to re-arrange their schedule and arrive that day.

Doug’s clients rely on him for his friendly, professional demeanour and, above all, his enthusiasm for the problem-solving aspects of plumbing. “I like the service and repair aspect of plumbing: Fixing, re-using and recycling things, essentially. I love fixing an old faucet and other obsolete plumbing fixtures,” he says with a grin. And that's just what a customer wants to hear from their contractor.

    I have used Boland for repairs at my home and at my rental unit. They are always prompt in responding when I have reached out with an issue. The staff are professional and super friendly and always fix the problem the first time! I would definitely recommend them.

    Doug was very prompt in answering my call. James came out and fixed my indoor gas fireplace, and serviced both furnaces. He was extremely knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend this company.
